Important facts:
* For the past ten years, I've used a 1998 PC and some basic software to record about 22 albums of beats, colors and textures. It tends to sound pretty happy sometimes, to the wincing chagrin of some of my friends.
* I run a small record label (Twelve Tusk Records) on which I release my own projects, as well as my electro (Beauty Flash) and indie rock (The Beebs) side projects with my wife. The artwork is homemade and, I think, great. The cds are burned.
* I am horrible at beatboxing, and cannot draw anything. My cooking is a different story.
* I've studied jazz piano since age seven. It was also my college major and I try to play regular jazz gigs with my band, Entr'acte, here in Denver. Stop by if you're in town.
* I work as a private piano teacher, freelance music writer, DJ, and high school accompanist when not blazing hip-hop joints in the basement.
* My first tape was Van Halen's 1984. I find it infinitely satisfying to start my DJ sets with the album's title track.
* The best Beatles album is clearly Abbey Road. If Cornelius ever comes to your city, go see him. Read Travels With Charley.
* I guess I would like my work to sound like Four Tet and Pete Rock getting into a late-night jazz fight with a bag of Beastie Boys instrumentals, but maybe you should find some free downloads on this site and see for yourself. Enjoy.
